Ateea Layd Carter is known for bringing a party to life. Starting out as co-owner and operator of Interstate Music Group and Promotions, she managed a small group of DJs and also planned and executed several events. These events ranged from Mixtape release parties to concerts. During this time she was also an intern for DJ Fahrenheit (Young Jezzy’s DJ).
Later starting Affiliated Mixtapes with her leading DJ, DJ I-90, they released several mixtapes.
With her love for music growing she found herself as a Co host on WPRK in Winter Park, Florida. This is where she was introduced to the Fleet DJ’s. As a Fleet DJ Radio Host, she made her way through the ranks. Starting out as a state manager for Florida, she was nominated for both Fleet DJ Rookie of the year, and also Female of the Year. After showing and proving, in this male dominated industry that she has what it takes, she was brought on as the Assistant Regional Manager for the Southeast Region. Having over 40 DJs under her management, she eventually became the Regional Manager of the Southeast Division of the Fleet DJs. Working hard has never been easy and anything easy has not been worth it.
